Buhari Anti - corruption Adviser Steps Down


Under fire, Benedicta Daudu, a member of the Advisory
Committee against Corruption set up by President
Buhari is currently embroiled in an examination
malpractice scandal and has resigned from the
committee after an exclusive story by the Premium
Times.
The executive secretary of the committee, Bolaji
Owasanoye, in a text message said she voluntarily
stepped down from the committee until the matter is
officially concluded.
According to a report by Premium Times, Mrs Daudu, an
associate professor of law and head of the Department
of Jurisprudence and International Law of the Faculty of
Law in University of Jos (UNIJOS), was allegedly caught
cheating while writing an examination for a Master’s
degree in Research and Public Policy in the same
university.
With a Masters in Law, she was working towards
another in Research and Public Policy.
She was accused by the department of sneaking in
prepared answers during the examination for Global
Context in Public Policy course.
