Wizkid & Davido Failed To Show - up At Olamide’ s # OLIC 2 Concert + Fans Reaction

Eko Hotel, Lagos was shut down as YBNL boss and
Shakiti Bobo singer, Olamide held
the second edition of his “Olamide Live In Concert“,
#OLIC2 last night, December 27. The event graced the
high and mighty as several musical acts performed.
There were mixed reactions however, when
two headlining acts who were expected to perform at
the show were not present. Wizkid and Davido were
missing and fans were not happy about it.
Davido had earlier twitted, confirming that he would be
present at the show but was not able to show up.

Petrol To Sell For N 85 Per Litre From Jan 1

The Federal government, has said that it can no longer
afford to subsidize the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)
following the fraud that has attended its operation,
stressing that the product will sell for N85 per litre as
from the first day of January, 2016.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Emmanuel Ibe
Kachikwu, disclosed this during his inspection of the
Port Harcourt Refinery Company (PHRC), on Christmas
day.
The current official price of the product is N87 but it
sells for as high as N350 in some states of the
federation with the country experiencing more than two
months biting fuel scarcity.
Dr. Kachikwu said that the new price template of the
Petroleum Product Pricing Regulation Agency (PPPRA),
was approved by the Federal government on Thursday,
adding that the new price will convince Nigerians that
the pricing modulation that the Muhammadu Buhari-led
government promised to embark is not a trick.
“We have done a modulation calculation and it is
showing us below N87,” Mr. Kachikwu said. “I imagine
that if PPPRA publishes it today, it will become effective
immediately. But the 1st of January that is when we are
looking at.”

Don Jazzy Is Not My Friend – Timaya

Nigerian singer, Timaya, is again enjoying spotlights
especially since he dropped a single he did with Mavin
Records’ boss, Don Jazzy titled ‘I Concur’.
The song, released about two months ago, is making
waves and its video only recently dropped.
Timaya, speaking with NotJustOk TV, stated that,
“There is just only one collabo I have ever done in my
life that till today, I appreciate the artiste, I respect the
artiste more even after we did the collabo is Don Jazzy.
“Like this ‘I Concur’ song I just did, I only called Don
Jazzy, I had finished doing the song and I was in my
studio, I said ‘if I put Don Jazzy on this song, it will be
nice’ I did not even have his number, so I had to call
Skales my boy, and he was able to get me a number
that led to calling Don Jazzy. He was busy so I sent him
a text to call back and he called back. Me and Don
Jazzy we dey close o.”
Speaking further, Timaya said, “The project took us
seven days and on the fourth day we shot the videos. I
put out pictures and next thing the song came out but
even at the video shoot when we went I just told him
that Jazzy na this time be the video shoot o.
“I was even thinking that I was going to suffer the stress
of the way some artistes dey do, but Don Jazzy we
even on set before me because I was worried about the
costumes he was going to wear and he was so patient
and stayed you know what, my mindset about that dude
just changed, I fell in love with that dude sincerely from
my heart. He is not my friend,….lots of respect to him,”
he added.

Pump Price Of Petrol Reduced To N 85 Per Litre Effective Jan. 1 – FG

Effective from January 1, 2016 the pump price of petrol
will be N85 per litre, the Federal Government has
declared.
Although the current official price of the petrol is N87
per litre, it sells for higher prices in some states of the
federation with the country experiencing over two
months of biting fuel scarcity.
The Minister of State for Petroleum, Emmanuel
Kachikwu, made the announcement of the reduction in
pump price of the petrol at the Port Harcourt Refinery
Company (PHRC), where he spent Christmas inspecting
the revamped plant.
Asked when the Federal Government would release the
new price template of the Petroleum Product Pricing
Regulation Agency (PPPRA), the Minister said he
approved the new price for the agency on Thursday.
“Like I said, we have done a modulation calculation and
it is showing us below N87”, Mr. Kachikwu said. “I
imagine that if PPPRA publishes it today, it will become
effective immediately. But the 1st of January that is
when we are looking at”.
Dr. Kachikwu explained that the new price template will
convince Nigerians that the pricing modulation that the
Muhammadu Buhari-led government promised to
embark on a few days ago was not a trick.
He noted that following analyses and research,
government realized the country could fluctuate fuel
price in accordance with the crude oil market
fundamentals.
Justifying government’s reasons for scrapping the
Petroleum Support Fund otherwise known as oil
subsidy, the Minister pointed out that government could
no longer afford to subsidize the petrol following the
fraud that has marred its operation.
He added that it had become clear that government
earnings were dipping on daily basis.

Fuel Scarcity : APC Govt Ruined Xmas For Nigerians – Lagos PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Lagos State
chapter, has said Nigerians, especially Lagosians, will
not forget in a hurry that their first Christmas under the
All Progressives Congress-led federal government was
ruined by biting fuel scarcity.
The Publicity Secretary of Lagos PDP, Mr. Taofik Gani,
said this during an interview yesterday.
Gani recalled that in his Christmas message last year,
President Muhammadu Buhari, who was the presidential
candidate of the APC at the time, promised Nigerians
that 2014 would be their last Christmas in darkness.
The PDP spokesman, however, said since Buhari took
over nearly seven months ago, the living condition of
Nigerians had deteriorated.
He said, “The first Christmas that Nigerians, especially
Lagosians, will mark under the APC will go down in
history as one of the worst due to the worsening fuel
scarcity. The electricity supply which President Buhari
promised last year has not come to pass and those who
want to use generators cannot make use of generators
as filling stations are not dispensing fuel in jerry cans”.
The Lagos PDP publicity secretary also berated the
Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai
Mohammed, for blaming former President Goodluck
Jonathan for the fuel scarcity.
Mohammed, while addressing journalists on the
lingering fuel scarcity shortly after the emergency
Federal Executive Council meeting last Monday, said
that Nigerians “are paying for the past administration’s
sins”.
Gani, however, said, “Nigerians know that it is not true
that Jonathan is the reason why everything has gone
worse under Buhari. The APC has the tendency to claim
Jonathan’s achievements but blame him for its
inefficiencies.
“A few weeks after President Buhari assumed power, he
took credit for the improvement in the power sector,
saying that his body language had evoked change when
everyone knew that it was Jonathan’s achievement.
“Now that Nigerians are groaning, the APC is blaming
Jonathan. You cannot have your cake and eat it”.

Nigerian and Ghanaian Students Suspended in UK University Over ‘Origin of Jollof Rice Fight ’

LOL. The Beef and Competition Between
Nigerians and Ghanaians is Hilarious. We all
know right now that the biggest bone of
contention is Jollof rice.
Apparently, it has been historically proven that this
delicacy neither originated in Ghana nor Nigeria, but not
everyone agrees with or are even aware of it.
Two female students of Nigerian and Ghanian origin
studying at the College of South West London, UK were
suspended indefinitely for fighting over this matter.
Lateefah Oyedepo was cooking her jollof rice the
Nigerian way when Tracy Osei Assibey told her that she
was going about it all wrong by using fat grain rice,
instead of long grain rice.

Lateefah then retorted that the Nigerian way was the
right way and that the classic recipe was of Nigerian
origin. She also said that Ghanaian jollof tastes
disgusting! It quickly escalated from there.
This wasn’t just a simple fight, fists were involved. The
fight started in the kitchen of their fifth floor apartment
and moved to the streets.
It went on for about two-and-half hours, until further
catastrophe was prevented by one of the college’s
lecturers who is Sierra Leonean.
The ladies basically went at each other over
something they know nothing about. This
situation perfectly shows that ignorance isn’t
bliss!
